This page is the parent of a series of pages showing photos from various stages of the work in Peru. The sub-pages will be populated as the relevant daily accounts are posted.

The photos will be linked to in the posts and have captions briefly describing them.

About the Photos

As a background to the photos, you need to know that they were mostly taken on Kodak slide films, mostry k64, some on k25. These were all posted, in batches, back to the UK from Lima whenever we returned there (processing by Kodak was paid for as part of the purchase price) – not one was lost in transit and all arrived at my house in the UK. A few were taken on HS Ektachrome and GAF 200, and processed on my return to the UK. Over 1,000 slides in all. I did some monochrome films but these haven’t been digitised (yet – I have to find them first….)

These were initially viewed a few times (on a slide projector) and then lay in slide bowes until late 2025, when they were all digitised by a company in the UK. A small amount of processing was carried out to remove colour casts as they were digitised, otherwise they are mostly as the originals. Some, I have reprocessed to bring out features or to show something specific in a part of the original for the website.
